In collaboration with Knox Small Press Fest, Printmakers Anonymous this exhibition invites artists and authors as a celebration of the everlasting relationship between our visual and written languages that help share our stories, history, folklore, and collective narrative of our experiences in this region. The exhibition will be hosted at Relay Ridge Gallery from October 4 – November 8, 2024, opening reception event Friday October 4th.

Prints and Prose: An Ode to Southern Appalachia will share a collection of our stories – communicated in many ways – of chasing fireflies through cicada choirs, of these mountains older than bone, of miners seeking coal and marble, of small town porch light gatherings, of creeks babbling sweet nothings and of the faint echoes of song through our hills and hollers. Come gather to share our stories. Let’s look closely and listen carefully to the tales of Southern Appalachia.
