Students will explore the endless possibilities of monotype: a printmaking process that is intuitive, playful, and full of instant gratification.
While only yielding one (“mono”) unique print with each ink application, this process can still accomplish a wide range of aesthetic results such as smooth transitional color blends, ability to print textures, is great for utilizing stencils and layering, and can emulate painting and drawing.
Students will be exposed to various techniques in monotype such as reductive & additive monotype, trace monotype, and utilizing stencils and layering.

All materials included. All experiences welcome – must be 18+
