This workshop is for those who get lost in the details and desire the finest line available in wood-based printmaking.

In this 4-day, month-long workshop, students will learn how to hand-engrave traditional endgrain wood blocks and also try contemporary alternative plastic plates such as HIPS (high-impact polystyrene) plates.

Students will learn how to prepare their images for the block, how to use and sharpen the tools (burins), and how to both print their blocks by hand and with a printing press.

All materials are provided. Some printmaking experience encouraged. Must be 18+
