This class is designed for beginning to advanced students who wish to learn about monotype printing (a one-of-a-kind print process made by painting or drawing onto a smooth, non-absorbent plate) especially those interested in learning how to utilize layering in printmaking.

Students will walk away from this workshop with a deeper understanding of the four color printmaking process.

All materials included. All experiences welcome – must be 18+


Jake Ingram is a master printer and artist working in Knoxville, TN. He received his BFA in 2012 from East Tennessee State University and his MFA in 2015 from the New York Academy of Art. He earned his Printer Training Certificate in 2018 and then earned the designation Tamarind Master Printer from the Tamarind Institute in 2019. In 2020, Ingram opened Jackalope Editions, a collaborative print shop and publishing house in Knoxville, TN. His interest lies in the synthesis of fine art and craft, therefore his personal work often involves printmaking and sewing. In addition to lithography, Ingram is trained in woodcut and intaglio. His work has been exhibited around the US and internationally.
