“Sweet Sweat is an exhibition of wool sculptures that create a space for viewers to reflect on their own soft memories of a summer’s day. Each piece asks the viewer to stop and sit with the work, allowing your mind to wander and attach itself to its familiar form. The warm white color of the raw wool allows you to finalize the work with your own associations and embed your personal memories into the piece.

This body of work was created after the sudden passing of the artist’s partner and shares with the viewer the most tender places of their heart. By sharing their attempts of coming to terms with the pangs of nostalgia and grief associated with this loss, their goal is to give space for collective sharing. When approaching the work, you are encouraged to take the time to reflect, and project your history of life, love, and pain into each piece. And if you feel so inclined, share with those around you.”
