Join us for the opening reception of Pickleball a curated exhibition by Gina Stucchio.

It’s hard to feel like things aren’t just shit these days.

However, in my overwhelming moments of despair and grief I have felt bonded with my friends and surrounding community in ways I never have before. It’s hard to understand when it’s okay to feel happy or to celebrate anything when so much going on around us feels like it’s more important.

Recently I’ve thought a lot about what ‘home’ is and what it means to me. It took some time, but I’ve realized that home is where I feel comfortable and safe, coming together with friends to play sports, observing the beautiful moments that seem far too fleeting these days, and sharing a meal made with love with people I love. We’re not biological, but siblings at heart. New family. We’ve formed a bond over the lacking. When curating this show I brought together a group of artists from different areas of my life who have a common thread that addresses how the idea of ‘home’ includes community and love and being with each other.
