About the Instructor:

Cole Hancock is an MFA candidate of the printmaking program at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, where they also work as an art teaching associate.  They graduated from Florida State university with a BFA in studio art and a concentration in printmaking in 2021. Their practice includes low budget roadtripping and combining print with paper craft to discuss the nature of our relationship with the land. As an Appalachian-based itinerant artist, they explore the cultural and environmental histories of the land, how preserving something can fundamentally alter it, and how human infrastructure and nature evolve and affect one another.
