Immerse yourself in the fibers and folds of paper and learn the art and craft of bookmaking and pop-up forms! Learn how to make a hard bound book with pop-up houses combined with your drawings, prints, collages or paintings.
Students will need to bring old prints, drawings, or other paper media materials for collage (for background) plus any specific drawing/painting materials desired.
All other materials are provided and all experiences welcomed – must be 18+
Tatiana Potts, a native of Slovakia, and is an artist and educator at Western Carolina University. She earned her MFA degree in Printmaking from the University of Tennessee. For Potts, the opportunity to live, travel, and study in different places has provided her with a wide range of perspectives and informs her ideas about art making. Her work incorporates images, artist books and paper installations into a form of world making. These manifest composite memories that reflect her experiences and perspectives living, traveling and studying in Europe and the United States.
